We work ourselves out of a job - CMS

Shhh, most web developers don't want you to know what a CMS is, but we will.  A CMS is a "Content Management System."  It allows people like you the ability to make changes to your website without having to call a web developer and wait two weeks for Napoleon Dynamite to update your site only to find he used the word "allot" to mean, "many."

Our process is different.  We get you a site that you can update anytime you are on the internet. It could be after your nunchuck lessons or before.  It doesn't matter.  We'll give you a secure login and you can begin updating the content -- page text, press releases, photo galleries -- most everything.

So, you do web sites?

Yes, and no.  Web Applications are not the same as web sites.  Anyone can break the shrink-wrap on Microsoft FrontPage, Dreamweaver or some other HTML editor and go into business making web sites.  We do
much more than that.  We write dynamic, living, interactive, data-driven applications or programs that happen to run on the web or via web-browsers.

We have not yet written a web application that did not access some back-end database or data store like Microsoft SQL Server, MySql, Oracle, Xml, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Exchange Server, DB2, FileNet, and yes, even FoxPro, dBASE, and Clipper files.  This makes the web application very dynamic and interactive.  On the Internet or Intranet, "Content is King."  In most cases, fresh, dynamic content is more useful that out-of-date, static content.

Having a great site is not enough.  You need people finding your page when they are searching for what you do.  This is where Search Engine Optimization or SEO comes in.  It is important to architect not only your website, but your content to be attractive to the major search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo). 

As you can see by our client above, Mueller Environmental, they are happy with the search term in the screen shot above.  Remember, this is not Pay-per-click, but an organic search result.
